E.L.M. of elm the person is Elizabeth MacFarland. Elizabeth works with textiles, block printing, Adobe CS programs Illustrator & Photoshop, and at times with sculptures of wood, paper, or fabrics. Much of her work is with garment design. She has been commissioned to design and construct formal gowns as well as graphic designs to be printed on t-shirts.

Since 1999 she has produced small garment collections for sale through her online store or for sale at local boutiques. Her work has been featured at Moody Lords in Portland Maine from 2012-2013, Young Blood in Atlanta Georgia from 2004-2008, and at Trashound in Pensacola Florida from 2000-2002. She apprenticed under seamstresses at two different alterations shops, Act Two Men’s Consignment Shop and Lynn’s Bridal Alterations in Pensacola Florida from 2000-2002.

Elizabeth studied art at Georgia State University, Northwest Florida State College, and throughout high school attending Advanced Placement Art in her senior year. She was awarded a full scholarship to Northwest Florida State College based on her AP Art teacher submitting Elizabeth’s AP ART portfolio to the college.

Elizabeth continues to work in art and design.
